This system handles preventive and breakdown maintenance of any sized manufacturing unit. It covers movement of assets from location to location, person responsible for the operation of the asset, definition of tasks for assets, automatic generation of work orders to the maintenance staff, option for entry and prevention of breakdown, knowledge base for error tracking, tools required for specific tasks, insurance of assets, leasing of assets and dynamic definition of asset components. It also closely integrated with the stores and inventory system, thus enabling the user to track consumption asset wise and the costs incurred to keep it in running condition. It will be closely integrated with the fixed asset system.
